Offering high performance solutions for drivers are an Emer diesel duel fuel for heavy-duty and Prins LPG system for direct injection light-duty petrol engines
In Italy in May, Westport attended Autopromotec, a leading aftermarket event, showcasing its Prins and Emer brands.
Both Westport brands offer systems for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG, or autogas) and compressed natural gas (CNG) for a wide range of engines. By using alternative fuels like CNG or LPG, drivers can immediately save fuel costs and reduce emissions such as CO2 and particulate matter.
Emer, a Westport company and a leader in natural gas vehicle technology, displayed its aftermarket diesel dual-fuel system – Poseidone CNG – for heavy-duty vehicles. Poseidone replaces an amount of diesel with compressed natural gas.
Prins, also a Westport company, is known for its universal Vapour Sequential Injection (VSI) LPG system. Prins will present its award winning liquid LPG solution – Direct LiquiMax 2.0 – for light-duty direct injection petrol engines. The engine starts immediately on LPG and the driver experiences no performance loss.
On May 22, Westport hosted an information session to Italian installers about Prins direct injection systems VSI-2.0 DI and Direct LiquiMax 2.0 presented by Michele Montenari and Mauro Bottari.
